As Foretold

Genesis 3:15: And I will put enmity between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel.

Genesis 49:8-10: Judah, your brothers shall praise you; Your hand shall be on the neck of your enemies; Your father’s sons shall bow down to you. Judah is a lion’s whelp; From the prey, my son, you have gone up. He couches, he lies down as a lion, And as a lion, who dares rouse him up? The scepter shall not depart from Judah, Nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, Until Shiloh comes, And to him shall be the obedience of the peoples.

Isaiah 11:1-2: Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse, And a branch from his roots will bear fruit. And the Spirit of the L-RD will rest on Him, The spirit of wisdom and understanding, The spirit of counsel and strength, The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the L-RD.

Psalm 22:
1 My G-d, my G-d, why hast Thou forsaken me? Far from my deliverance are the words of my groaning.
2 O my G-d, I cry by day, but Thou dost not answer; And by night, but I have no rest.
3 Yet Thou art holy, O Thou who art enthroned upon the praises of Israel.
4 In Thee our fathers trusted; They trusted, and Thou didst deliver them.
5 To Thee they cried out, and were delivered; In Thee they trusted, and were not disappointed.
6 But I am a worm, and not a man, A reproach of men, and despised by the people.
7 All who see me sneer at me; They separate with the lip, they wag the head, saying,
8 “Commit yourself to the L-RD; let Him deliver him; Let Him rescue him, because He delights in him.”
9 Yet Thou art He who didst bring me forth from the womb; Thou didst make me trust when upon my mother’s breasts.
10 Upon Thee I was cast from birth; Thou hast been my G-d from my mother’s womb.
11 Be not far from me, for trouble is near; For there is none to help.
12 Many bulls have surrounded me; Strong bulls of Bashan have encircled me.
13 They open wide their mouth at me, As a ravening and a roaring lion.
14 I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint; My heart is like wax; It is melted within me.
15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd, And my tongue cleaves to my jaws; And Thou dost lay me in the dust of death.
16 For dogs have surrounded me; A band of evildoers has encompassed me; They pierced my hands and my feet.
17 I can count all my bones. They look, they stare at me;
18 They divide my garments among them, And for my clothing they cast lots.
19 But Thou, O L-RD, be not far off; O Thou my help, hasten to my assistance.
20 Deliver my soul from the sword, My only life from the power of the dog.
21 Save me from the lion’s mouth; And from the horns of the wild oxen Thou dost answer me.
22 I will tell of Thy name to my brethren; In the midst of the assembly I will praise Thee.
23 You who fear the L-RD, praise Him; All you descendants of Jacob, glorify Him, And stand in awe of Him, all you descendants of Israel.
24 For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; Neither has He hidden His face from him; But when he cried to Him for help, He heard.
25 From Thee comes my praise in the great assembly; I shall pay my vows before those who fear Him.
26 The afflicted shall eat and be satisfied; Those who seek Him will praise the L-RD. Let your heart live forever!
27 All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the L-RD, And all the families of the nations will worship before Thee.
28 For the kingdom is the L-RD’S, And He rules over the nations.
29 All the prosperous of the earth will eat and worship, All those who go down to the dust will bow before Him, Even he who cannot keep his soul alive.
30 Posterity will serve Him; It will be told of the L-RD to the coming generation.
31 They will come and will declare His righteousness To a people who will be born, that He has performed it.

Other key Prophecies through David

2 Samuel 7:12-13 (1042 BC): When your days are complete and you lie down with your fathers, I will raise up your descendant after you, who will come forth from you, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.

Jeremiah 23:5 (599 BC): “Behold, the days are coming,” declares the L-RD, “When I shall raise up for David a righteous Branch; And He will reign as king and act wisely And do justice and righteousness in the land.

When will He come?

Daniel 9:24-26: Seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sin, to make atonement for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy place. So you are to know and discern that from the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince there will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; it will be built again, with plaza and moat, even in times of distress. Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined.

His birth

Miracles

Isaiah 35:5-6: Then the eyes of the blind will be opened, And the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. Then the lame will leap like a deer, And the tongue of the dumb will shout for joy. For waters will break forth in the wilderness And streams in the Arabah.

Without guile

Isaiah 53:9: His grave was assigned with wicked men, Yet He was with a rich man in His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was there any deceit in His mouth.

But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed. All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the L-RD has caused the iniquity of us all To fall on Him. 12 Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, And He will divide the booty with the strong; Because He poured out Himself to death, And was numbered with the transgressors; Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, And interceded for the transgressors.

Pierced — Zechariah 12:10 (487 BC): And I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him, like the bitter weeping over a first-born.
